BioSynth was born when I attended Music Tech Fest 2014 in London. After presenting and speaking at the event I found myself joining the hackathon and creating a prototype for an instrument controlled by biofeedback, namely brain activity and heartbeats.
Joining forces with brilliant French developer Cyril Laurier, we reverse engineered a heartbeat sensor created by Robert Wollner and paired it with the EEG Musical Interface technology I’ve developed with Prof. Nathan Intrator to translate both brainwaves and pulse into a music.
